Speaking of Israel

Many have heard the scriptural quote: “Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm (Psalm 105:15). Let us consider it in the context in which is originally given. “God permitted no one to do Israel wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying, “Do not touch my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.”  Notice in this Scripture that God protected His anointed (who was Israel) and His prophets from the enemies of Israel to bring physical harm.”

(http://www.letusreason.org/Pent47.htm). Throughout history, many nations have allowed themselves to be used by Satan as unwitting pawns in the battle for the extinction of the Jews. Instead of the Jews being wiped off the face of the earth, their enemies have ceased to exist as viable civilizations - just the way Satan planned it.

Jerusalem has been under siege many times throughout the ages. These offending nations, however, fell prey to a curse. They did not know that God had promised both Abraham and his grandson Jacob that "...I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curseth thee...” (Genesis 12: 3). Another reference to this is found in Genesis 27: 29.

Many surmise that the Jews court persecution because the enemy is jealous of their phenomenal accomplishments. This is only a superficial observation. The real reason for this is that God has used them to weave history and to bless the world. Satan, therefore, is trying to destroy them in order to offset God's plan for humanity.

Egypt is an example of a great nation that fell prey to a curse. The ancient pharaohs made slaves of the Israelites and drowned their young ones. However, the law of reciprocity (the sow-reap principle) took effect when the Egyptian army itself died a drowning death in the Red Sea.

Archaeologists, as I have mentioned previously in an article, have confirmed this when they discovered many coral encrusted chariots with their wheels detached. Also found were parts of skeletons of the men and horses all preserved by the coral covering them. These were all found in a wonderful state of preservation buried under the Red Sea.

There is also extra-biblical evidence in writing confirming this spectacular event. They exist in the form of rock inscriptions. These are eyewitness accounts of this event given in detail and they confirm everything that the Bible says.

Another great nation that fell prey to the curse was Spain. In 1492, Queen Isabella forced the Jews to convert or to be expelled. This caused a flight of Jews from Spain. This country consequently stepped into the graveyard of history.

When Hitler exterminated 6,000,000 Jews, he met his own untimely demise. Today because of the Nazi atrocities, the birthrate in Germany has fallen considerably.

Great Britain was another nation that suffered a dire fate when it touched the chosen people. Britain was at one time the greatest empire that ever existed – even bigger than Greece or Rome. This country, however, sealed its fate during World War II when it captured the Jews who had gone to Israel to escape Hitler and the Nazi death camps and sent them back to Europe to die. Shortly after this, the empire began to disintegrate as one country after the other began to pull out from underneath her. Today, Britain is a second rate nation.

Again, the Russian madman, Joseph Stalin also had plans to exterminate Russian Jewry. He attempted to begin with the execution of 6 Jewish doctors. Before his diabolical plan could take effect, he died of a stroke. Weeks later, these doctors were released.

George Bush Sr. initiated the plan of exchanging land for peace. Using the might of the United States, Bush forced Israel into exchanging land for peace with the Palestinians. But God told Israel that once they settle on their land they would never be dispersed or uprooted again (Amos 9: 15).

The United States also challenged God’s word when President Clinton continued in the error of his predecessor by making Jerusalem negotiable. Today’s President Bush Jr. is continuing in the footsteps of his father. The results are that all three Presidents have had devastating experiences.

In his book “Israel: The Blessing or the Curse”, John McTernan talks about this. From November 1991, starting with President Bush Sr., there have been dire warning signs. America and the world have experienced violent storms such as Hurricanes Andrew, Emily and Katrina; earthquakes, tornadoes, stock market crashes, devaluation of currencies, forest fires and the Clinton Scandal in the White House. All of these events coincided with pivotal dates that the U.S. Presidents were involved in the land for peace deals between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

What about the sabotage of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon buildings In New York on 11 September, 2001? It has been discovered that on 10 September, President Bush along with Colin Powell decided to put into effect the biggest land for peace deal in the whole process. They were stopped when the terrorist attack occurred on 11 September. Thus their whole attention was averted to dealing with this crisis. Israel after all does not have to give away their birthright for a false sense of peace.

THE HURRICANE KATRINA / THE ISRAELI CONNECTION

There are possibilities that could explain why God allowed Hurricane Katrina to devastate the United States, specifically New Orleans where there were about 9000 deaths. This was a catastrophe of biblical proportions.

It is a known fact that the past American presidents beginning with President Nixon were in favour of land for peace negotiations concerning the nation of Israel and Palestine. Other Presidents that were in favour of this stance were Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, and Bush Jr. It is important that president Barack Obama maintains his stance

Before Hurricane Katrina occurred, President George Bush and President Ariel Sharon had a five minute conversation that they were “partners in peace.” This is a series of events that precipitated Hurricane Katrina:

1. On Monday 22 August, 2005 the last Jewish settlement in Gaza was evacuated – wrapping up Israel’s historic pullout. It was the largest pullout of Jewish occupants in the history of Israel.

2. The next day, on 23 August, 2005 after the Jews were put out of their land which is the Gaza Strip and the West bank, the government of the Bahamas issued a tropical storm warning for the Central and Northern Bahamas.

3. By 24 August, 2005 it became a tropical storm

4. On 25 August, 2005 it became a hurricane

5. Why did this hurricane hit New Orleans?

The city of New Orleans was also renowned for its occult practices, particularly voodoo. I have heard from friends and co-workers of mine who frequent this country on cultural exploits, that New Orleans is ridden with witchcraft.

I have also heard it said that it is the Sodom and Gomorrah of the United States. Perversion abounds much like California. Southern decadence is the name of the Festival that they have there for perverts. The previous year 125,000 revelers came to visit it. The shocking event was supposed to occur on 31 August, 2005. However, it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina before anything should take place and everybody was told to evacuate.

ISRAEL AS AN EVERLASTING COVENANT IS NON-NEGOTIABLE

“AND I WILL GIVE UNTO THEE, UNTO THY SEED AFTER THEE, AND THE LAND WHEREIN THOU ART A SOJOURNER, ALL THE LAND OF CANAAN, FOR AN EVERLASTING POSSESSION; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD” (GENESIS 17: 8).

Far back in 19 September, 1993 - when President Clinton was in office, Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat entered into an agreement that Israeli troops from six major towns in the West Bank would be withdrawn. The land would be turned over to the Palestinians, after 28 years of Jewish occupation. Although he was a Nobel Peace prize winner, he was shot on 4 November, 1995 and died later on because of a massive blood loss. It is said that Yitzhak Rabin was an atheist and did not understand the dire implications of the covenant made between God and Abraham.

Later on, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who was a humanist, expelled 9,480 Jewish settlers from 21 settlements in Gaza, and 4 other settlements in the Northern West Bank from the 16 to 30 August, 2005. Between the soldiers and the Palestinians, every building including the synagogues was destroyed. On December 18, 2005 President Sharon had to be hospitalized because of a stroke. Another one followed on January 4, 2005. He is now in a coma with extremely low chances of recovery. Remember just before hurricane Katrina started, President Bush Jr., and President Ariel Sharon entered into an Israeli land for peace deal.

SALVATION FOR ALL

The Arab Palestinians do not have the right to ownership of the land that God promised the Jews. Even though the Jews were expelled from Israel in 70 A.D., there has always been a remnant there for 2000 years. They, therefore - have both a legal and divine right to the land of Israel. Even in the Koran, it is stated that God urged the Jews to go into the land of Israel and not turn back, lest they be losers (Surah 5: 20- 21).

At present, there exists a dilemma in the Middle East. Surely the other Muslim nations surrounding the Palestinians can absorb them for they have a land mass more than double that of America - but they refuse. We, however, must realize that you cannot throw them away for there are many Palestinian Christians. Again, these are the children of Ishmael who have Abraham as a father. God blessed Ishmael and promised to make him a great nation, but said that the covenant was with Isaac (Genesis 17: 20-21).

We must continue to pray for the salvation of both Palestinians and Jews in the Middle East for it is God’s intention that even Palestinians should have a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3: 9). As Christians pray, many Muslims are having visitations of Jesus in dreams and visions. They see the nail imprints in his hands and fingers and are being converted. The most recent report among them is, “have you seen the man in white.”

It is not as difficult to convert Muslims to Christ as most people think. After all, the Koran states that Jesus was without sin and that he performed many miracles. Although the Bible and the Koran are diametrically opposed regarding matters of essential doctrine, there is some truth in the Koran. Knowledgeable and skillful Christians have used the Koran to convert Muslims to Christ.

Muslims must realize that Jesus is the only way to God and that He is the express image of the Father. It is only through a dependency on Christ that the Middle East problem can be solved. So let us continue to pray for their salvation and remember also to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
